After the three days of pre-season testing at the Phillip Island race track, Castrol Honda’s World Superbike riders Jonathan Rea and Hiroshi Aoyama shared their impressions with the public. While Aoyama kept it rather short and positive, talking only of his motorcycle and riding, Rea had a bit different take on the testing summary. “I’ve killed three animals. Day one was a magpie. Day two was another kind of bird, and today I killed a snake”, said Rea, the eight-time World Superbike race winner.
The first race of the 2012 World Superbike season starts February 26th at, you’ve guessed it, Phillip Island. Let’s hope they’ll have time to evacuate all of the wildlife until then. Keep up the spirit Jonathan!
