Prince William second in line to the throne has recently just placed an order for a Ducati 1198 SP superbike for cruising around the royal palace grounds. The Prince known for his affection for motorcycles has been 2 wheel bound since the age of 8. The Royal stables have been full of the Prince’s motorcycles over the years including a Yamaha XT800 and a Honda CBR. The Prince and his brother a couple years ago took a charity motorcycle trip across Africa so this family is a well versed family on 2 wheels.
Last year the Prince was spotted riding his 2009 Ducati 1198 to a polo match aboard his wearing red and black leathers. Can this guy be any better or what? I would vote for him to become King tomorrow, oh wait I guess you cannot vote for Kings. We are not sure if the Ducati will become knighted upon arriving at the palace but it sure will be a way for the Prince to be out in public without being noticed.
Prince William along with other celebrities enjoy motorcycles as a way of being able to be out in public without being noticed or bothered. We expect to the see the Prince sporting his new ride come spring next year and maybe an appearance at a couple races.
