Inmotec has now completed 12 days of testing with its first MotoGP prototype as it builds towards a debut in the series later this season
Inmotec is still on course to make its MotoGP debut this season after releasing a video suggesting that development is now at an advanced stage.
Inmotec are bidding to become the first Spanish manufacturer to compete in MotoGP, with its racing debut pencilled in for the Catalunya Grand Prix in July before taking in a handful of other rounds over the remainder of the season.
Presented at the Valencia Grand Prix last November, a second prototype is currently in the process of being built and will include a series of changes to the chassis, swingarm, engine and aerodynamics. In all, the team has completed 12 days of testing with Ivan Silva on the bike.
“The bike is continually evolving,” said managing director Oscar Gorria. “We will adapt the training schedule for the development of the new parts. At the moment we’re training at circuits like Navarra or Alcarrás and we believe it is necessary to go and train at World Championship circuits, to record more data for our own reference.”
