The Scot Racing Team, which won the FIM 250cc World Championship with Japanese rider Hiroshi Aoyama, has withdrawn from the MotoGP class and will concentrate on the Moto2 class in 2010.
The team had an agreement with San Marino rider Alex de Angelis for MotoGP but Honda could not provide machinery.
Team manager Cirano Mularoni said: “After the happiness for the conquest of the world championship in the 250cc class – for me and for the whole team – this is a great disappointment.
“Now we just have to concentrate on the project Moto2.”
