101 Uses for the Suzuki Hayabusa Engine – Videos

With the recent engine trouble with my car I asked my fellow Twitter followers for some suggestions.  A little background on the situation is my 2003 Subaru WRX has imploded(piston rings, clutch, and block are all toast).  Well some responses from my Twitter responses ranged from “Burn it”, weigh the costs of fixing it, find a crate motor,  “Quit Whining! Seize (haha) the opportunity to upgrade!”, and finally a spark of inspiration came from one follower to buy a suzuki car and put a Suzuki Hayabusa engine inside.  After a little research it instantly amazed me of the different uses for the Suzuki Hayabusa engine.

Let’s walk through a few of the more popular uses for one of the most powerful motorcycle engines on the market.  The Suzuki GSX1300 engine produces 172.2 bhp (128.4 kW) @ 10100 RPM.  With it light weight and compact design allows customizers to use the engine in a variety of applications.

1.  The Smart Car Hayabusa engine upgrade.  What better way to turn a reasonable commuter car into a ground pounding gorilla which can hold it’s ground against a Ferrari in a drag race.  Interested in creating your own Smart powered by a Busa head over to SmartBusa

2.  Some people may think it is crazy to load a Smart Car with a Hayabusa engine.  Such a small car running a monster engine.  Well these guys have mounted a Hayabusa engine into a GoKart.  This is pure madness.

3.  Now how about a Hayabusa Powered Dune Buggy.  With the power to weight ratio matched to that of a Formula 1 car the Sand Rails mean business.  The Hayabusa makes the Sand Rail rip wheelies at will with the torque and power at hand.

4.  How about making a Mini into a Hayabusa powered race car.  The guys over at Z-Cars make all sorts of conversion kits for the Mini where you can either buy the kit or order it pre-built.  Either way it looks like a good laugh.

5.  Last but definetly not least we have to show you the Turbo Powered Hayabusa motorcycle.  This bolt on turbo can go well over 100 rear wheel horsepower to the already insanely fast bike.
