A motocross rider broke a world record for motorcycle jumping in Reno Saturday night.
Ryan Capes not only broke the world ramp-to-ramp motorcycle jump record on Saturday, he shattered it twice.
Capes had his heart set on jumping over 300 feet, and when his first attempt came in at 286, he had the ramp moved back and gave it another go. With over 10,000 spectators in attendance cheering him on, Capes opened up the throttle and flew 316 feet through the air and broke his newly set record.
Capes said after the jump he plans on breaking his record again in Daytona Beach with a distance of 400 feet.
