Ben Spies finished the weekend in Losail, Qatar dominiating the entire weekend. Spies won Superpole, Race 1 & 2, set the track record, and set the new fastest race lap. The rookie Texan has now silence all critics about being able to learn new tracks and being able to remain consistent.
Race 2 had Noriyuki Haga jump right from the start to pass Max Biaggi on the end of the first lap. Spies again not leading from the start was able to get into full swing by lap 6 and lead the remainder of the race until the checkered flag. Haga went runner up and Biaggi finished third the same order as race one.
With Spies winning the double header in Losail and Haga finishing second in both races halves the gap between the two riders in the championship points.
Next round in Valencia is the first round in Europe. Will the top three riders be a constant in this years World Superbike racing. We will see in the next round.
