Ferrari will give Valentino Rossi a Formula One test to celebrate his MotoGP title, the Italian team said.
“We are happy to give Valentino once again the opportunity to test our Formula One car,” said a spokesman at the Brazilian Grand Prix where Ferrari are fighting for both world championships this weekend.
“He’s a friend of Ferrari, we are friends of his and it’s a nice way to celebrate his world championship and fantastic career.”
He said the test would be at an Italian circuit before the end of the year.
Valentino is an amazing motorcycle rider and car driver. We in the motorcycle world would hate to see him move to Formula 1 as he is very entertaining to watch him in MotoGP. Although we understand he can double his salary if he does move. We will wait to see what he does at the end of his current Yamaha contract.
