The Japanese factory will not field a third ZX-RR machine in for 2009 MotoGP season.
The deal collapsed with Shinya Nakano on the third Kawaski after upper management wanted Shinya to ride the third ZX-RR for next season. The Kawasaki Martinez’s Spanish sponsor would then contribute less funding because the sponsor wanted a Spanish rider to sponsor instead of Shinya. So politics again rules out another position in the MotoGP grid.
The Kawasaki team will now only consist of two rider John Hopkins and Marco Melandri. I hope Marco has better success with Team green than he had on Ducati.
